Teach Like a Rockstar!!!

So, I don't know how many of you know, but starting last month, I took over the teaching position (scrapbooking, of course!) at my local Michaels store. Well, it wasn't my first go around with teaching, I use to do a little back in Hawaii, and some when I was living in New York before I had left to live in Hawaii before hand. Now, you are probably wondering just WHY I am bumbling about so much right now...well, it's all because of Teach Crafts Like a Rock Star, started by Sudie Alexander! She asked me, as well as Jen Stewart, Ainslie Hunter, Jane Button, Lain Ehmann, Kizer and Bender, Margie Romney-Aslett, and Shimelle Laine (why me, with all of these top notch in their own industries, wether to teach you in business or teaching scrapbook classes themselves, I will never know, but thank you, Sudie!) to be a part of this wonderful class and we can't all wait to teach you about it! I have taught classes in both big box stores and local scrapbook stores as well as in my own home, so I will be touching on those points, as well as others. This will be my first online class, so I am a bit overwhelmed, but I can't wait to teach others about what I LOVE to do, which is to teach scrapbooking and paper crafting! Here is a bit more about it, straight from Sudie:

TEACH CRAFTS LIKE A ROCK STAR!

(Or, “If you asked me how to become an awesome teacher, or how do you get your classes to sell out,

this is what I’d tell you.”)

(from Sudie Alexander, our rockstar host) If you’re reading this, you’re a craft instructor – or you’re planning on becoming one soon. That’s pretty good news, because there are a lot of people out there who need help with that creative stuff you do.

The problem is it’s just not that easy. You can be a creative genius, but struggle to get going teaching. Or maybe you already are teaching, but your classes just are not selling out like they used to.

My job is to get you not just teaching in the craft industry, but thriving. I want you to be the best craft teacher ever. A Rock Star craft instructor. An instructor that people are begging for you to come teach. Students are asking for you. Your classes are full soon after they open for registration.

Many times, this kind of advice is done one-on-one, but I really wanted to reach as many people as possible, and private instruction can be expensive. Plus, I have joined forces with THE very best knock-your-socks-off Rock Star Instructors.

You are not going to believe what we came up with just for you.

There are not a lot of options to learn how to teach paper arts, or polymer clay. And even fewer options on learning secrets and tips from this caliber of experienced craft professionals. Until now, that is.

Introducing Teach Like a Rock Star for Craft Professionals

You think you have problems getting students to sign up for classes? You are not alone. It’s a common complaint.

I’ve talked to hundreds of teachers, store owners, and even big box educators over the years, and I’ve noticed a funny thing: Almost all of them have the same basic problems. It interferes with their ability to make good money teaching.

And the problems are generally easy to fix, once you know what they are and what to do about them. And that’s what Teaching Like a Rock Star is all about.

I’ve taken the most common sticking points that teaching craft professionals just like you have and created a program where I talk you through what to do to fix them.

These lessons are straight-forward, simple actions that make an immediate difference for your teaching business. They’re tactics that you can use right away. Tactics gathered from the many combined years of experience from our Rock Star Instructors.

They’re also tactics that can be used by real craft instructors with great success.

Some of you may want to teach just to make some income to supplement your family’s budget. Some are already teaching, but in this economy “good” teachers just scrape by and struggle doing that. Perhaps some of you are working for manufacturers and are expected to teach as part of your job description. Or maybe you have a great deal of creative talent and have been encouraged to start teaching others.

Wherever you are in your professional journey, I’m really excited to be offering this training to you.

Here’s what’s inside.

What do you get “backstage” (inside) Teach Like a Rock Star?

When you order the online Teach Like a Rock Star course, you’ll get a series of 20 audios that teach you the most important things you need to know to get your craft teaching business growing.

I know you’re very busy, so we are keeping the audios brief, with no fluff and packed with only what you need to know to get going.

This is so you don’t get totally overwhelmed by the content and sit there wondering where to start. I want this course to be easy for you to use.

Module One: How To Get Started/Better Now

I get a lot of calls from instructors who just aren’t getting new opportunities, and they don’t know why. Sometimes they’re just at a plateau and need more gigs. Or there classes just aren’t booking “like the good ole days.”

In these five lessons you’ll hear what what you need to seriously grow your teaching business, starting right now.

Module TwoCreating Rock Star Classes That Sell Out

In these five lessons you’ll hear what tips we have for instructors who want to offer classes (and who want them to sell out every time).

Module Three: Fill Your Stadium

Module Four: Secrets of a Rock Star Instructor

I’ve structured the course so that you can go through it in any order you choose. Each of the lessons can be listened to in whatever way you want. Each lesson can stand on its own.

Each audio is around 10 to 15 minutes long, so it’s short enough to be easy to listen to, and long enough to give you the good stuff you want.

So, here’s how it will go: Lots of good stuff that you can use to make you some money, and pretty much zero overwhelm. Inch by inch anything’s a cinch.
